I was a member of 480 (Studley) Squadron Air Cadets for 7 years as a cadet and worked up the ranks, reaching the rank of Flight Sergeant.
Throughout this time, I was asked by the Officer Commanding 480 Squadron to design and build a new website for the squadron to aid future recruitment, share recent news and events with current cadets and their parents and show various other pieces of information regarding the Air Cadet Organisation. I was also asked to provide an area for which the cadets could see the current training programme to see what activities were taking place on each parade night. I also included a photo gallery to show off all the pictures from all the various events, activities and camps the cadets participated in and a downloads area for various files and photos to be downloaded by the cadets and parents.
As the site grew, I later included a small admin system to allow the squadron staff to update the news articles more efficiently and manage other areas of the site where the information is always changing.
